競賽背景 / Competition background

一個(gè)美麗的主意或令人回味的圖像可能比一個(gè)物體，一棟建筑物甚至整個(gè)城市更能激發(fā)我們的想象力。然而，正是物質(zhì)性構(gòu)成了建筑的強(qiáng)大力量，它具有將實(shí)體建筑轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)檎嬲?yàn)體驗(yàn)的能力。

讓我們考慮一下如何改善我們已經(jīng)擁有的建筑物，而不是像通常那樣將它們夷為平地從頭開始建造新建筑物。當(dāng)涉及到最近的建筑物時(shí)，盡管不受地標(biāo)地位的保護(hù)，但在如何改造方面有很多自由。

James R. Thompson Center是芝加哥最具標(biāo)志性的建筑之一。伊利諾伊州政府決定將其出售用于新開發(fā)項(xiàng)目，使這座擁有35年歷史的20世紀(jì)晚期建筑瑰寶處于極大的危險(xiǎn)之中。

競賽內(nèi)容 / Competition content

本次競賽分為兩個(gè)階段，第一階段為資格預(yù)審，參賽團(tuán)隊(duì)提交參賽申請和設(shè)計(jì)作品集，評(píng)委將從中選擇進(jìn)入第二階段的設(shè)計(jì)團(tuán)隊(duì)。第二階段參賽團(tuán)隊(duì)會(huì)分配在31個(gè)設(shè)計(jì)場地中，進(jìn)行概念設(shè)計(jì)提案。

獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)設(shè)置 / AWARDS

第二階段入選的每個(gè)參賽團(tuán)隊(duì)將獲得100萬盧布（約合人民幣86,737元）的獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)，同時(shí)將參與競賽概念深化的后續(xù)工作。
